Description
Legendary guitarist of Queen, Brian May, is also an astrophysicist and leading light in saving British nature. But few people know he is an authority on stereoscopes and 3D imaging so much so that he has re-established the London Stereoscopic Company and developed his own entry level viewer known as an OWL. All this began with the purchase of a Vistascreen viewer from Weetabix in the 1960's. Such a viewer is now available from us although we can't guarentee you'll become a superstar, it will kick start a fascination with 3D images. Back in the 1960's Weetabix devised a promotion to help enhance sales. For a special token from a pack and 1'6 you could obtain your own viewer and individual cards were collected within each cereal pack. The viewer is made from lightweight, fragile red plastic. The front has the word "Weetabix" embossed in gold. The centre section has a cut away section and the word "Vistascreen". The back houses the two transparent plastic lenses. All the hinges work perfectly. Unfortunately the original packaging is missing but the viewer does come with an assortment of cards from various sets. Overall this item is in a good, clean and undamaged condition. An ideal item for a collector of 3D viewers, for a collector of vintage cereal memorabilia or for someone looking to start a new hobby.
