Description
Most visitors to the stately Homes of England would buy a tea towel, thimble or spoon but back in the 1960's you could have purchased a Vistascreen booklet of ten views so you could tour the place again in magnificient monochrome 3D from the comfort of your sofa. Designed specifically for Vistascreen viewers or it's "clones" each booklet contained 10 double imaged, monochrome real photographs. When inserted into the viewer a 3D image could be seen. As a mutually beneficial marketing ploy, booklets for Historical Houses could only be obtained by going to the location and were not available in general shops. They originally cost 2/6d each booklet. The outer box remains intact and has retained it's colours. Being almost 60 years old means the box has some wear; edges and corners are rubbed. The paper folder that holds the cards is fantastic condition. All the cards are present and in excellent clean condition. The views in this booklet are: The Kitchen (two views), Entrance Hall, Bedroom Dressing Table, Part of the Music Room, The Staircase, The Music Room, The Garden, The Bedroom, and The Front Garden. Also included in fantastic condition is an order form detailing other available sets to purchase. A great item for a Vistascreen collector, for someone with an interest in Belgrave Hall or simply for someone looking to relive their childhood.
