The Muppets are as popular now as they were when this item was produced. This Miss Piggy character soap, an official piece of Henson Associates Inc merchandise, was from a recently acquired vintage soap collection which was put together during the 1970's to early 1980's. The original owner has written the date 31/10/77 on the back. Considering it is almost 40 years old it has survived in a fair condition. The box remains strong. Unfortunately time hasn't been kind. The lid is missing, there is rubbing along edges and creasing as well as surface damage probably caused by adhesive tape. On the base of the box there is a remnant of clear adhesive tape. The soap is wrapped in tissue for protection. Moulded in orange soap, it is well defined and in good condition although the ears have been nibbled. An ideal item for a novelty soap collector, for a collector of household products, a collector of television memorabilia or a Muppets fan.
