One of the most popular cartoon duos is Tom and Jerry. This Jerry Mouse character soap, an official piece of Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Inc merchandise, was from a recently acquired vintage soap collection which was put together during the 1970's to early 1980's. Considering it is over 35 years old it has survived well. The box remains intact and strong, there are no tears, fading or discolouration but there is some rubbing along edges and some heavy creasing which adds to that vintage look. On the front of the box there is the remnant of a price label. The soap is wrapped in tissue for protection. Moulded in grey soap, it is well defined and in perfect condition. An ideal item for a novelty soap collector, for a collector of household products, a collector of cartoon memorabilia or a Tom and Jerry fan.
