For 7 seasons, from 1969 to 1973, you would have heard "I'll get you Butler!" emminate from living rooms across the country. "On the Buses" was a classic sit-com during that golden era of British television. Popular with audiences but not with critics

The game is based on the popular early 1970s sitcom "On the Buses," which centered on the working-class lives of bus crew members Stan Butler and Jack Harper, and their constant battles with their inspector, Blakey.

Dating from 1973, the game is designed for 2 players and is a mix of fun and strategy. The objective is for players to collect passengers on their bus route and take them back to their bus depot. The first player to return all their passengers wins. However, it's not straightforward! Opponents can try to hinder your progress, and the notorious Inspector Blakey is "out to get you, one way or another," adding an element of challenge.

Considering it's age, this game is in remarkably good condition and includes a board, bus tokens, passenger tokens and game cards.  Full game instructions are printed on the underside of the lid. The box maintains it's vivid, orginal colours, with some minor creasing and rubbing in the corners.
