The resounding "thwack" of wooden ruler onto bare knuckles signalled the short, sharp answer to a misdemeanour in the classroom for decades. Here we have two examples both produced by the famous stationers, Helix. The rulers are pre-1970's as they only display measurements in inches rather than decimal mm and cms. Both rulers are in very good condition with a highly varnished finish and the graduations are clearly seen. They are in used condition with some black and red ink stains. Nostalgic items ideal as display pieces, or for a collector of vintage school equipment or as a gift for someone with connections to education.
