Calling all Phillumenists or matchbox collectors to the rest of us.  Presented here in excellent, clean condition is an empty matchbox, produced for the CWS (Cooperative Wholesale Society), advertising Crumpsall Cream Crackers.  Designed in red and white, the front depicts crackers with the brand name.  On the side are the words "Shop and save at your co-op" and on the reverse again the brand name, price and number of matches contained. The striker shows signs of use.  We are uncertain of the precise date of this item but guess it's 1950's or 1960's but it could be earlier .  A lovely piece for a collector, someone wanting to begin a matchbox collection oe someone interested in advertising or vintage brands.
