You may remember him from This is Your Life, you may even remember him presenting Crackerjack or even What's my line? which all made the late, great Eamonn Andrews (1922-1987) a well known and much loved celebrity over almost four decades starting in 1951. His name and face endorsed various products and this example of "Questo" is such a product. Manufactured by Bell, "Questo" is for all intense and purposes the same as the ever popular "Tell Me" word game. A card gives a category and a letter is provided by spinning the disc and then it's down to the player to come up with an answer which begins with the assigned letter. Considering this item is around 70 years old the original box is in remarkably good condition. There is some rubbing along the edges and corners but it has retained the vibrant colouring. On the lid there is a black and white photograph of a young Eamonn and one side has a facsimile message and autograph. On the inside of the lid are printed the game rules. The metal spinner consists of a yellow base and blue disc, and is in an almost unplayed condition, freely spinning and no signs of rust. The 48 small cards are housed in a white cardboard storage tray. Overall the cards are in good clean condition.
A lovely item for a collector of vintage games, or someone interested if television related items or as originally intended a simple, fun game for all the family.
