This nostalgic board game, perfect for any budding Sir David Attenborough, was developed in 1964/1965 by renowned manufacturer J W Spear and Sons Ltd and endorsed by the World Wildlife Fund, which had only been founded in 1961. Players take on the role of animal collectors, navigating the rewards and challenges of wildlife preservation. The aim is to buy, sell, and collect various wild animals and place them into the correct zoos. Despite being played for over six decades, it has remained in impressive condition.

The box is sturdy and intact, with a lid featuring a world map and a vibrant photograph of a charging elephant. Wear is minimal, limited to slight rubbing and traces of adhesive tape. The surface has a slightly grubby patina that adds to its authentic vintage charm. The thick card game board is in good shape, with a couple of original manufacturing flaws, and the white plastic storage tray is still in great order. All game pieces are present, clean, and undamaged. Each animal card displays a full-colour photograph on the front and information on the back. The instruction booklet is included, complete with a stapled correction insert, though the rusting staple has begun to discolour neighbouring pages. Unusually, the original WWF supporter donation leaflet, often used or discarded, is also still present.
