Dominoes are traditionally perceived as a game played by old men down the pub but they can also be a fun family game too. This particular set, made by the famous toy company Chad Valley, is a cut above the run of the mill sets in that it has coloured pips. The box is intact and remains strong. Being over 50 years old and constantly used, the box has inevitably developed rubbing along edges and at the corners, while the surface has taken on a grubby appearance which adds to that authentic vintage look. The simply design and colouring are unfaded. The full compliment of 28 dominoes are in remarkable good condition. Black in colour and made from wood with a textured machined finish, the pips are countersunk and hand painted in gloss colours. A great item for a dominoes player, a collector of vintage domino sets or vintage games or as a fun, child friendly game for those rainy days.
