This is your chance to own a genuine piece of British military history dating from the WW1 Era. During WW1 the 1st Bn Border Regiment disembarked at Gallipoli on the first day of the landings and fought almost continuously taking heavy casualties until being evacuated to the Western Front were it remained for the rest of the war. The collection of cap badge and two brass shoulder titles were obtained together and so it is assumed belonged to the same soldier although there is no way to identify who he was. All three items are in very good, clean, mostly undamaged condition only the cap badge has one point of the background star slightly bent. The pieces could easily be reattached to a period uniform as they all retain their fixing points.. There are no maker's marks on any of the pieces. A truly wonderful, tactile and thought provoking grouping. Ideal for a military enthusiast or re-enactor, a veteran of the Border Regiment, as part of a WW1 display or as an addition to an ancestor's medal grouping.
