Not just babies are delivered by Storks but biscuits too! This genuine circular biscuit tin pre-dates WW2 and considering it's great age, it is amazingly good condition. There is no fading or dents and just the slightest amount of rusting on the inside edge of the lid. Produced by McVitie & Price of Edinburgh, the Oriental inspired design is of a flock of Storks, feeding and preening at the edge of a lake. The colour of the Storks against the dark green background and that the Storks have been stamped giving a positive relief, produces a slight 3D effect. Gilding has also been utilised to enhance this effect. The gilding has worn slightly from the edges of the lid through everyday use over nearly eight decades. A great item for a collector of vintage tins, a collector of McVitie & Price memorabilia, someone who enjoys Oriental style design or as a decorative item suited to any room of the house.
