Literally 100's of reels designed for View-Master 3D viewers were made over the decades, covering all sorts of subjects. Some came in packages of three discs but single reels could also be purchased. So for someone who regularly bought a reel they could quickly amass a large collection, but the question was how to store all these. Knowing how popular their product was, Sawyers, began making a storage album. The item we have on offer comes in it's original box. The design of the box, mirrors that, which the viewers of the time came in. Showing alot of wear along the edges and corners as well as some creases but remains intact. There are a number of splits in the lid that have been sellotaped at some stage. Remarkably the original price tag is still partly attached showing the purchase price of 14 shillings. The actual album is in very good condition. The blue, textured cardboard cover has two fastenings and gold lettering on the front. The reels are kept in approximately 30 paper sleeves and all are in clean, undamaged condition. The index page has been partly filled in by the original owner. The 15 reels listed are still present and are included. A great object for collectors of View-Master accessories or for someone who wishes to begin a collection.
