So you thought you could escape the property trading world while on holiday enjoying a well earned rest. WRONG! Those cunning people at Waddingtons had thought of this eventuality and developed Travel Monopoly. Dating from the mid-1980's this compact game pre-dates the magnetic pocket version. Considering this item is 30 years old it has survived in a remarkably good condition. The common red and white designed box remains strong and intact. There is no fading, marking or surface blemishes and the only negative is the slight rubbing along the edges and corners. Inside the thin red plastic storage tray is in perfect condition as are all the contents. Strangely although this is a travel version the contents are in fact the same size as in a standard game. The typical playing pieces of dog, car, ship, hat, boot and iron are made from grey plastic. The folded instruction leaflet is also present. All the contents are in clean, perfect order and appears to have been played very little. The thin bi-folding game board is also in excellent condition. An ideal item for a Monopoly collector, for a collector of vintage games, as a prop in a production or display or as originally intended as a fun family game to be taken on holiday.
