This book is a handy pocket sized reference book to tell you everything you need to know about nautical matters and ships. Believed to be a relatively early edition this book has survived remarkable well considering it's age and the use it would have had over the decades. It still retains the original dust jacket, which is not price clipped or faded but does have a few small tears and slight rubbing. The binding remains strong. The interior of the book contains over 100 photographs, line drawings and coloured illustrations of all types of merchant ship and warship. Overall a great item for a collector of vintage Observer books, or someone connected to the sea or someone interested in vintage ship design.
