Calculate how far you have stepped back in time with this vintage electronic calculator. Made in Hong Kong by Scientec around 1980, this calculator has a red LED display typical of electronic items of the time. Considering this item is almost 40 years old not only does it still work but comes complete with all the original packaging and instruction booklet. The box remains strong and intact with no fading of the grey and red design. There is rubbing along the edges and corners as well as some minor indentations and slight surface wear probably due to being in a school bag or a desk drawer but this doesn't detract from the item and adds to that vintage look. The calculator is undamaged. It is chunky and lightweight in construction being made from black plastic with a thin metallic plate protecting the protruding screen and keys. It runs on a single 9v battery which is not supplied. A truly wonderful piece of retro technology in remarkably good, clean condition. A great item for a collector of vintage electronic items, or for an enthusiast of mathematics and computing, or as part of a 1980's themed room/display or simply for someone who wishes to relive their childhood.
