Most jigsaws depict vintage steam trains but this is something different a diesel. The town scene illustrated on the lid is wonderfully vintage look in both the vehicles and costumes shown but also the vivid colours used. The box is strong and intact but it's beginning to show it's almost 60 years. The base is weakening with two corners split. The lid also has two splits, creases in the corners, several places have suffered surface damage due to the removal of adhesive tape and on the lid illustration a red pen has been used but this has faded and so hardly noticeable. There are almost 80 thick plywood pieces which have been checked and completed. This would be a great item for a rail enthusiast, a jigsaw or vintage toy collector, or for someone reminiscing about the past.
