Remember as a child walking into an old sweet shop and being faced with shelves full of glass storage jars and tins containing mouth watering confectionary. It's quite likely you'd have come across a large tin storing 5 ibs of Nurse Grant's clear mints in their wrappers. This particular item is in excellent condition considering it's age. Dark and sky blue in colour with white text and a picture of a beautiful young nurse in a vintage uniform, the design remains as crisp as the day it was made. There are some very slight scratches and minor dents but these are hardly noticeable. Due to useage the gilding on the top has mostly rubbed off and internally there is some superficial rusting. On the base is stamped "No Charge" along with a paper stippled label. This remarkable item would make a great gift for a collector of vintage tins, someone interested in advertising and design, or even as a display item in a museum or vintage sweet shop.
