Description
Designed to produce 12 4x4cm images on Kodak 127 film this viewfinder type camera was produced from 1959 to 1964. It has a fixed focus with two apertures, a single speed shutter and fitted with a Dakon lens. It incorporates attachments for a screw and pin flash gun. The camera is lightweight due to the body being constructed mainly from grey plastic and textured black plastic. The two end plates are chromed but due to decades of use these are beginning to rub. An "Ever-Ready" black plastic lens cover doubles as a fitted case as it folds over to top of the camera. The black cord strap is in very good condition. Overall the camera is in good condition with some marks and wear due to decades of use. Untested photographically the mechanism appears to move freely and the optics seem to be undamaged. The camera comes with the original packaging. The box is orange-yellow in colour with Kodak branding and a monochrome photograph of the camera to the front. After six decades the box is showing signs of wear. Edges and corners are rubbed, there is some minor creasing and the flaps are torn in places along the folds. Also included is a leafet on how to fix the cover to the camera, a leaflet on Boots flashguns and an instruction booklet. Each are in good condition albeit with some creasing. A great piece for a collector of vintage cameras, as part of a display or as a prop in a theatrical production.
