You can imagine yourself as a latter day Biggles soaring through the clouds with this item. The white ceramic dish is ovoid in shape and has a crackled glaze. It has a transfer print of a pre-war silver coloured, RAF Gloster Gladiator biplane fighter, which has hand painted roundels, engine cowling and wheel spars. There are no makers marks on the base of the dish and so difficult to date but we guess it's likely from the 1950's - 1960's although it could be earlier. An ideal item for an aviation enthusiast, an ex-RAF serviceman or woman, or as a  decorative item suitable for any room of the house.
