A genuine vintage uniform..... well the armband anyway. The armband is in excellent condition, looking as though it has never been used.  It dates from the Cold War Era and would have been worn by someone in the aftermath of an enemy nuclear attack. It is yellow in colour. On the front are embroidered the words "Civil Defence Corps - Welfare"  in dark blue below a crown and a single buckle is also present. On the reverse is an ink stamped label showing a reference number (CD/48E), the official war office mark in the form of an arrow, the date 1954 and the maker's name (Lewis Falk Ltd).  A really nice historical item ideal for a re-enactor, a military or uniform collector, as a prop for a production or someone interested in the Cold War.
