Description
Pass the pear and lemon please! Would be a strange thing to hear at the dinner table but in the 1960's those crazy people at Carlton Ware took in upon themselves to change mundane, utilitarian homewares into vibrant, fun objects. So the plain salt and pepper pot metamorphosed into a pear and lemon sitting upon a banana. All three pieces are undamaged. The banana dish some grazing and on the underside a very small point of discoloration but this doesn't detract from it's quirkiness. The lemon and pear are in perfect condition. Both retain their original plastic stopper however that of the lemon has deteriorated and would need to be replaced if it were to be used again. A great item for a collector of Carlton Ware, or a collector of salt and pepper pots or simply as a decorative piece.
