Promoting a business is a top priority. These days the internet, television and radio are the likely avenues to a widespread audience but almost a century ago is was just down to the printed word or free gifts with a purchase. The famous biscuit manufacturer, Peek Frean, created tokens to promote their Teddy Bear biscuits. Each coin sized token was made from aluminium with the company name and product name on one side. On the other side is a Teddy Bear. Beneath the bear in very small lettering is the manufacturer Wright and Son, Edgware, Middx. In good or better condition with no damage and very minimal amount of wear. A great item for a collector of coins or tokens, for a collector of Peek Frean memorabilia or as a unique item for a collector of Teddy Bears.
